 WHAT I BELIEVE

Add a little bit of body text-3.png

  • Nutrition is highly individual and based on one’s current nutritional status, lifestyle, disease states, genetic makeup, and bio-individuality.

  • The Standard American Diet is one of the primary drivers of chronic disease. Moving towards a more whole foods eating pattern can have profound effects on your health.

  • You are NOT your genetics. You health is a result of the environment in which your genes are (or are not) expressed.

  • Nutrition and lifestyle are the most critical mediators in chronic disease, but often the last to be considered in treatment.

  • The conventional medicine model for chronic disease largely treats symptoms, NOT the root cause of disease.

  • The relationship between client & practitioner should be mutual, collaborative and respectful

 HEAR FROM MY CLIENTS

Tara is a ray of sunshine. She is always focusing on the positives and the wins, which can be incredibly helpful when you have felt let down by the health care system, overwhelmed, and at a loss for what to do.

I turned to Tara when I was feeling just like that, helpless, overwhelmed, let down by the health care system, and controlled by my PCOS symptoms/bad relationship with food and my body.

Tara broke everything down into accomplishable, bite-size pieces, and the structure of the sessions allowed for each one to build on the last to get me to make sustainable, healthful, lifestyle and nutrition changes.

Before working with Tara, I was waking up tired and experiencing constant fatigue and did not feel I had the energy to implement healthy changes. Tara reassured me that by working first on foundational health pillars it would give me the energy to begin and succeed. I didn’t believe her at first but now I am waking up with more energy, trying to work out and move my body daily, and implementing so so many other changes that make me feel exponentially better.

Tara was there for me and with me each step of the way, so kind and sweet and motivational. She gave me helpful tips and strategies to actually implement the changes we discussed making. I think one huge difference in me since working with Tara is that now I view food as a tool to better my health and daily functioning. I cannot recommend Tara highly enough-she truly made a significant positive impact on my life and I wish that everyone, especially girls/women struggling with PCOS, gets to work with Tara!!
— T.W.
I cannot thank Tara enough for the immense mountains she has helped me move in my life, whether it be health issues or mental health sigmas I had surrounding food and nutrition. After suffering from parasites, SIBO, and PCOS,

Tara has helped me find a balanced healthy routine that has made me feel more alive than ever. She constantly listens to my needs, and continually meets them and then some. One of the most rewarding things in my process with Tara has been how she helped me slowly shatter away my body image issues - all while treating my health problems.

She took on all my problems and concerns like a champ. I am happier, healthier, and more myself than ever, all with the guidance and support from Tara.

Working with Tara was the best decision I have ever made. When I first came to her, I was feeling constant fatigue, could not control binge eating, could not control cravings, and felt constantly depressed and the weight kept piling on. I needed professional help to get my body healthy again.

Tara showed compassion and actually cared about my health and how I was feeling. She provided steps and protocols and even explained what was going on with my body and how to get back to normal.

Since meeting with Tara, my blood sugar has improved, my mood has improved, my sleep has improved, and overall, I feel much healthier and more optimistic than I have in years. I am truly grateful and would highly recommend her to anyone that needs nutritional help.

From 2018 to 2021 I was having gut issues (pains, gas, bloating) began losing weight, and felt like I was in a fog. The first and second gastroenterologist dismissed my issues as IBS. The second gastroenterologist told me the same as the first— that I appeared fit, my colonoscopy was perfect, so it must be IBS. I asked hime to PLEASE check a stool sample! I knew something had to be causing the discomfort and weight loss.

Long story short, when my results came back I was diagnosed with EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency). I was told by my gastroenterologist that my pancreas was working at 10%. I was prescribed an enzyme to take with meals, however, I was given no guidance on how or what to eat. While researching EPI online, I became totally confused and disappointed because the materials are very vague.

In April 2022 I began researching online for a nutritionist to assist me with a food plan in hopes of stopping the weight loss. That’s when I found Tara:). One of the first things she had me do was send stool samples to Rupa Health. Needless to say, the results showed an overwhelming abundance of gut bacteria!! FINALLY some answers!! Right away Tara prescribed herbal supplements to help cleanse and calm my gut bacteria. The past two months I have been taking supplements for the “kill phase” to help eliminate the remaining bacteria.

Can I just say that I have NOT felt this good in a very long time. Thank you Tara for helping me get my life back!! I have gained weight, my health has improved 100%, I’m creating delicious meals (thanks to you), Ive learned how to take my enzymes, properly and my symptoms have GREATLY diminished.

Tara is a compassionate and caring practitioner who takes the time to listen to her clients.

After 4+ years of suffering with Hashimoto’s disease and SIBO, she worked closely with my metabolic practitioner to resolve my issues.

She was very honest and forward about the hard work ahead regarding my diet and exercise regimen.

I am happy to report that after 4 years of seeing “traditional” physicians with no answers and no clear plan, I am well on my way to feeling better! These conditions will be a lifelong problem, but at least I have a solution and someone to collaborate with. Thank you, Tara, for all you have done and will continue to do.

I found out after years of digestive issues that I had many food allergies and was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder soon after.

Tara has helped me navigate many changes in my diet/lifestyle. My digestive problems have significantly improved and I am so grateful to her for that.

Not only has she provided me the information and support that I needed for my digestive health... she has also provided me with tools for my overall health, wellness and stress management.

She truly cares for her clients and her passion for her work shows. I’ve benefited greatly from her knowledge and haven’t felt this great in years.

Tara helped me change my relationship with food and also fixed a couple of my health issues which have bothered me for years.

In the past 12 years I had restricted my food intake to keep a fit body shape. I even had a long food restriction list for myself.

Then I started to have all kinds of health problems, like constipation, Acid Reflux, fatigue, depression etc. Frequent binge eating made me feel exhausted. I felt my life was totally a mess.

I went to Tara for help. Instead of giving me all the tips and tools directly, she started with rebuilding my relationship with food, which is the foundation for good eating habits. Then slowly introduce to me all kinds of practical tools and tips I can easily apply on my daily life.

Now I am friends with food and use it to nourish my body. The best part is that I enjoy what I eat and I am much healthier and my body is still fit.

Tara is a very patient, caring and responsible person, I strongly recommend her if you have any issues with food.

Tara is an absolute joy to work with. I’ve never had a professional LISTEN the way she does. She takes such good notes during sessions and then references them regularly.

I trust her. She’s balanced and kind while also being clear and truthful. She’s helped change my life in so many ways!
— Michelle Gibbons
I have enjoyed my journey to better health and nutrition mainly because of Tara. She has encouraged and supported me, given me sound easy tools to implement into my daily life and explained things to me in a way that I understand.

She is so sweet and beautiful inside and out!!! Thank you for being AWESOME!!

Working with Tara has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My only regret was not connecting with her sooner!

Tara really takes the time to learn about your health history and goals before putting together a plan for you. She is amazing at being able to implement a plan with small lifestyle changes that have amazing results over time.

The whole time I’ve been working with her I’ve never felt like I was on a “diet”.

Since working with Tara my energy levels have increased, I sleep better, feel healthier overall, and I no longer feel like I’m hungry all the time. She is so supportive and truly cares about her clients.
— W.C.
Tara is a passionate professional that genuinely cares about your overall health and well-being. She takes into consideration your physical and mental state to best create a plan for you.

Retraining and changing the landscape of your health is hard work, but she is always there to answer your questions and provide support. Tara is the dietitian I never knew I needed.
— Erin Wright
I have been with Tara for a year now. She took me from a place of loathing of myself and the bad habits I learned from youth, to giving me an understanding of nutrition, how it works in my body, and to look at food in a whole new way.

I haven’t reached my goal yet, but it didn’t take a year to get here. If someone is looking at a nutritionist, I highly recommended Tara and have even sent my daughter to her as well.
